Cocktails and Appetizers at Novela

The fog was just beginning to descend on downtown San Francisco as guests flocked into the warmth of the new literary-chic bar, Novela for an evening of imbibing house-made punches and enjoying a selection of small bites. Novela’s usual list of historically-inspired punches such as the aptly named triple whiskey punch, Hemingway’s “Code Hero”, were renamed with tech-themed titles such as “The Social” and “The Global” to reflect the evening’s event. Consistent with every night, however, each punch was crafted with the day’s freshest selection of ingredients and served on tap.

The menu of the evening consisted of savory small bites and a luscious dessert to sweeten the deal. Our selection of appetizers ranged from Asian-inspired to dressed up classics, featuring items such as shaking beef with Thai basil sauce and seared risotto cakes with gorgonzola and spinach. All in all, we had a wonderful evening working with the crew at Novela and cannot wait to revisit for an afterhours Jay Gatsby.
